![]() Daryl Seeing the joy and excitement it brings when a client sees it for the first time. ![]() Finding that special touch is always rewarding. Like a random rock, or the back of a chimney that ends up being the most enjoyed piece. Textures! I usually try to find one special feature on a property to light up that nobody would have ever thought of. What do you feel is the most personally rewarding part of installing a lighting system for a client? We are very fortunate most properties we light up are very beautiful in themselves, we just make it so you can see it when it’s dark out. Finding the grand features and making those pieces the focal points really does the work for us. The house or property tells us what needs to be showcased. Where do you find inspiration for your lighting designs? Always ask what they are looking for, because we forget, just because we think it looks great, they may not. Listen to the client and understand their vision if they have something in mind before you start voicing what you think is best. What tips or tricks have you learned that have benefited your work from a design/installation perspective? What type of lighting fixtures do you prefer to use? Which fixtures are your favorite?īrass is our favorite material for the fixtures we really love the AMP® EcoPro MR16 Spotlight. We has been doing it for about 7 years and Daryl has been for a year. How long have you been installing landscape lighting? What percentage of your business is landscape lighting/what other services do you provide (ie: landscaping…)?
